PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The Epol Race Speedmax is a premium energy dense ration scientifically formulated to provide racing athletes with optimum nutrients to sustain the high energy demands of rigorous racing and to perform at their maximum competitive potential consistently.
It is a highly palatable and digestible ration which contains a premium blend of quality grains along with a high fat supply, to assist in reducing the risk of starch overload in the hindgut while still providing the higher levels of energy. Quality protein sources support muscle development and aids in recovery and repair after racing.
This ration is fully fortified and provides optimum levels of vitamins, minerals and anti-oxidants including Vitamin E and Selenium to help neutralize free radicals and high levels of B-vitamins to help stimulate appetite. Due to its fully fortified nature, less feed than standard and competitor formulas is required and additional supplementation is not necessary.
Digestive cultures are provided to not only improve fiber digestion, but promotes beneficial bacteria in the hindgut. As this product is designed with the performance horse in intense work we have included a natural gastric buffer to reduce the risk of gastric ulcers as well as hindgut acidosis.
The Epol Speedmax is highly effective in fueling and re-fueling racehorses to win race after race.

The Epol Speedmax is designed to be fed alongside good quality hay and/ or pasture fed which should be fed at an absolute minimum of 1% of body weight per day (5kg for a 500kg horse). Providing the correct level of quality roughage will help to maintain gut health of the performance horse.
Always ensure the minimum roughage requirement is met and then adjust the amount of Speedmax depending on need. Due to the higher starch levels provided in this product we strongly recommend meal sizes are kept to no more than 2.5kg per meal. This will reduce the risk of starch overflow into the hindgut which can increase the risk of conditions such as hindgut acidosis.
It is very important to ensure that the horse is fed the correct portion of food by weight, not by volume! All feeds have different densities and thus do not weigh the same. Therefore, it is very important to establish exactly what weight (kg) your scoop holds of the specific product you are feeding.
Always introduce any new feed or product over a period of 7-14days and ensure water is always available.
